AlientechUnlock module KESS3
The Alientech KESS3 unlock module allows you to unlock supported Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECUs directly in your workshop. Once unlocked, compatible ECUs can be read, written and backed up using KESS3 in BOOT mode, with BENCH access available for supported applications.
Requirements: KESS3 with activated Car Bench & Boot protocols and an active subscription.

Modern Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECUs feature security measures that can restrict access to their internal memory. The KESS3 unlock module provides the dedicated hardware required to unlock selected protected ECUs using supported KESS3 BOOT protocols. This allows professional tuners to perform the unlock procedure in-house, reducing the need for external ECU unlocking services.
The initial unlock procedure is performed in BOOT mode, which requires access to the ECU circuit board. Once a supported ECU has been successfully unlocked, compatible BENCH protocols allow subsequent reading and writing directly through the ECU connector, without reopening the ECU. Available operations depend on the specific ECU and the protocols supported by Alientech.
