Alientech Upgrade 2.47 — Bosch AL450 / ZF 8HP45 TCU support now live

We are pleased to announce that Alientech has released Upgrade 2.47! With this update, the powerful KESS3 tool now supports full BENCH-mode access to the Bosch AL450 TCU, used on Volkswagen’s ZF 8HP45 automatic transmissions: for example on the Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 BiTDI (from model year 2010 onward).

What does it entail? 

• You can now read and write the full data content of the Bosch AL450 TCU in BENCH mode, without needing to open the control unit. 
• This gives you precise control over transmission calibrations — perfect for tuning, repair, or reliability-upgrades on vehicles equipped with ZF 8HP45 boxes.
• Workshops can now expand their service offerings to include advanced TCU tuning or remapping for Amarok and similar models
