Recalibration in the field of motorbikes is a sensitive but increasingly discussed topic in the garage. The new Euro5 engines, in order to respect current regulations, are forced to work with a lower fuel input, which is why people regret the more powerful output of engines with the old Euro4 technology. With ECM Titanium and some targeted work on the mechanics, however, it is possible to bring back the performance of the past.

Target performance – S1000 RR
The BMW S1000 RR is one of the most extreme super sports bikes on the market. It sounds incredible, but it can become even sharper and more powerful thanks to your intervention with ECM Titanium! The management of this engine, however, especially in the versions for the American market, suffers from numerous limitations directly from the manufacturer and it is necessary to align the performance of the European versions, thus starting from a common base.
The first step is to adjust the air/fuel ratio in order to improve power through increased fuel delivery. To create a more linear torque curve, it is necessary to manage the spark advance maps up to the limits allowed by the knock sensor, and if necessary, for extreme tuning, it is also possible to work on managing it. To make the bike more usable and to optimize the delivery, especially in the lower gears, it is useful to modify the ride-by-wire by removing restrictions. At the same time, it modifies the exhaust valve management maps, so as to optimize the opening operating speeds, achieving greater performance. Last but not least, it works on the limiters (revs, torque, and TC) to unleash the full power of the S1000 RR.
